Nous revenons de 3 jours passés à Kiev avec 3 amis Français travaillant à Moscou.
Mais Kiev se mérite: nous partons donc Jeudi soir de Budapest en train pour...24 heures !
Le train dessert aussi Moscou (plus de 30 heures de trajet). Nous avons donc notre petite cabine 2 places. On se croirait dans l'Orient Express (c'est sûr c'est un peu moins classe).
Nous arrivons le Vendredi 7 Mai au soir à Kiev où nous retrouvons nos 3 compatriotes.
Le Samedi et le Dimanche sont consacrés à la visite de la ville:
La Cathédrale Sainte-Sophie (bâtie sur le modèle de Sainte Sophie d'Istanbul) , le monastère de la Laure de Kiev et le monastère St Michel au mont d'Or. La religion principale en Ukraine est la religion Orthodoxe, nous avons eu la chance de pouvoir assister à un office: magnifique !
Pendant que vous fêtiez le 8 Mai en France, nous fêtions le Dimanche soir (9 Mai) les 65 ans de la Victoire de l'Armée Rouge sur l'Allemagne Nazie ! C'était la fête dans les rues de Kiev avec au programme: concert, exposition d'armes , etc... Et dans cette foule joyeuse, 2 petits Frenchies !
C'était relativement impressionnant de voir tout cela !
En Février 2010 l'Ukraine a élu Viktor Ianoukovytch , personnalité reconnue très Russophile...tout s'explique.
Nous avons repris un train le Lundi matin pour 25 heures avec un arrêt de 3 heures à la frontière !

We are just coming back from 3 days spent in Kiev with 3 French friends who work in Moscow.
But Kiev is not close from Budapest: we go on Thursday evening by train for...24 hours !
The train goes also to Moscow (more than 30 hours). We have our cabin just for us. We might believe in the Orient Express (less luxurious of course !).
We arrive on Friday 7th May and we meet our 3 friends.
On Saturday and Sunday we visit the city:
The Saint Sophia's Cathedral (built on the model of Saint Sophia of Istanbul), the Kiev Monastery of the Caves and St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery. In Ukraine the principale religion is the Orthodoxy, we could attend an office: magnificent !
On Sunday (9th May) we celebrated the Victory birthday 65th of the Red Army on the Nazi Germany ! There was a great atmosphere in the city center: concerts and weapons exhibitions !

Il s'agissait en fait de la cahedrale de la Sainte sagesse (Sophie en grec) de Dieu lol, mais c'est pas grave on vous aime quand meme.
